We use a subscription-based system for our memberships. We offer 30-minute or 1-hour (60-minute) lessons each week. You can choose to either pay a monthly subscription at full price, or purchase the full upcoming semester at a 15% off discount. (Pssst… ask us about Afterpay!)

If you choose the subscription, there is no fee to cancel. Also, you may cancel at any time by sending in a written request to admin@orcamacon.org.

WE USE SEMESTERS

We follow a traditional style school semester system.

Each semester we provide 12 lessons (1 lesson every week except during holidays and other extensive ORCA programs or events) over the span of about three to four months.

SPRING SEMESTER

FALL SEMESTER

February - May

August - December

For Spring, registration will open on the first week of January after New Year and close on January 22.

For Fall, registration will open on the first week of July and close on July 22.

CHOOSE YOUR DAY & TIME

To make things simple, we use a time-slot system when we schedule your lessons. Our time slots are based on our instructors’ personal availability and may be limited. We will do our best to work with you!

  1. Choose the best day for you—say, every Monday, for example.

  2. Then, choose the best time for you—for instance, 4:30 PM. You will then come to your lesson every Monday at 4:30 PM.

This will be your very own time slot for the entire semester! If your schedule changes, you can switch to a new time slot.

  • The base cost for a 30 minute lesson is $35, while an hour is $70, not including processing fees. We charge by the month or by the semester ONLY and do not accept payments for individual lessons or pay-as-you-go.

  • Email admin@orcamacon.org and put “CANCEL LESSONS” in the subject line.

    The message box should have a reason for cancellation as well as effective date (when you’d like to end the lessons) listed.

    Please note that if you cancel your lessons on your billing date, you will be unable to receive a refund, so please call ahead!

  • Students are not able to choose their instructor at this time due to limited availability, but don’t worry - all of our instructors are top notch, and we will pair you with the instructor that is the best fit for you!

  • If your missed lesson is the instructor’s fault or is due to the facility closing, we will make up your lesson on a pre-scheduled makeup day (Saturday). If you are unable to attend makeup day, we will refund it to your card at the end of the semester.

    If the missed lesson is due to a no-show on the part of the student, the lesson will be forfeit. If pre-canceled, it will be refunded to the card on file at the end of the semester.

  • We require at least one business day of notice for missed lessons. This means if your lesson is taken on a Monday, you must contact us on the previous Friday. We do not work off of the clock and are not able to see or respond to messages until we are back in the office.

    If we are contacted less than one business day ahead, the lesson will count as a no show. Also, if the student is 15 or more minutes late, or doesn’t show up or contact us at all, the lesson will be forfeit and count as a no show.

  • We must receive written notice of all changes. This can be sent to us by email at admin@orcamacon.org or by text message at 833-491-7034. Your instructor cannot help you with your account or change the schedule, so any notices or changes made through the instructor directly are considered forfeit.

    Please note that contacting our staff through unauthorized methods (text messaging or calling Instructors or staff on their personal lines, private GroupMe messaging, etc.) will not be recognized as valid.

  • If your Instructor is tardy, they will give you the full 30 or 60 minute slot that you paid for, even if it means going over. If your Instructor is frequently tardy, please notify us at admin@orcamacon.org.

  • Our lessons packages are generally non-refundable, with the exception of the end-of-semester refund for verified missed lessons. With that said, we want you to receive the best experience possible, so please communicate with us regularly on how things are going!

  • We do provide Financial Aid assistance for those who qualify. Applications are received earlier in the year (sometimes the previous year) and cannot be filled out when the semester has begun, so please make sure to take advantage of the financial assistance application while it is available on the website.

  • Enrollment for Spring lessons starts January 1 and ends January 22. Fall starts July 1 and ends July 22. During enrollment period, a registration form will be available on the website. Once filled out, further instructions will be sent to you. There will be a deadline to complete the process, so please be vigilant!

    If you miss enrollment period but would still like to take lessons, you can call 478-216-6847 to register! However, please keep in mind that to receive the full benefits and see improvement through lessons, it is best to start at the beginning of the semester.

  • Yes, within reason, your time slot can be moved around. However, Instructor availability fills up quickly! Our program is designed to be consistent through the whole semester, and students very rarely change their day and time, so your instructor may not have any other slots available. Also, please keep in mind that it is not possible to pick and choose each appointment, and a time slot must be chosen and kept for a period of time.
